Matthew Comer is a freelance photographer born in Manchester 1981. He grew up in Whitefield with his older brother, Christian and Sister, Sharon. His mother Cherry, a fashion designer, and his father Terry, also a photographer, played a huge part in Matthew's creativity.

He started taking photographs at rock shows in the early 2000's as a hobby until his father saw he had an eye for it and bought him a new camera. Taking photographs at shows became an obsession and he started getting very well known under the guise of "Mayhem". Having the privilege of photographing the likes of N*e*r*d and The Streets.

Working for L'Oréal and Redken for three years from 2005 introduced Matthew to the world of fashion. After meeting his partner, Annabelle in 2007, she inspired him to achieve his ambitions. This led to some major work taking photographs for the covers of many magazines, shooting the clothes of designers such as Dolce & Gabbana, Burberry and Galliano, and had also built great working relationships with some major brands including one of his personal favourites, Diesel.

In 2009, after visiting New York Many times, Matthew & Annabelle finally ventured on their dream trip. They drove over 11,000 miles from California to New York, stopping in small towns and cities along the way. This produced a huge body of work entitled "On The Road" which will consist of over 20 exhibitions and a book. Which also means there will be more visits to the states.

Following the success of 'Neon America' that was shown at Urban Outfitters the next exhibition will also show in Urban Outfitters. It was launched to a roaring crowd on February 26th. 'Rooftops & Water Towers' is now taking you on a journey through the rooftops of Brooklyn & Manhattan.
